Wellbeing is high on our agenda here at SCO. We love that our team bring their best of selves to work each and every day – but we know that sometimes people might need a little more help and support.

We have teamed up with Health Assured, to provide our team with an EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) app. Accessible from your phone 24/7 with dedicated support lines providing confidential support from fully qualified professionals for further assistance when needed – the app is not just for our teammates, but also for their family members too.

As part of our wellbeing programme, we have introduced monthly themes to emphasise health and happiness both in and outside the workplace – themes covering topics such as exercise, money management, plus many more. We provide our team with useful resources, as well as organising workshops to support our teammates even further, and get involved with nationally recognised events such as National Fitness Day in September and Speak Up Month in October.

It is commonly mistaken that wellbeing is solely related to physical and mental health – wellbeing is broad concept and includes happiness, satisfaction, purpose and control; determined by social, economic and environmental conditions. At SCO we are committed to creating an environment in which our people can thrive – we promise to continue to support everyone the best we can. And we know our teammates can count on one another to be there to support each other too.  

We have a responsibility to understand what wellbeing means for our people and create an atmosphere that nurtures the happiness of our people. Openly discussing wellbeing and providing helpful resources is just one way we contribute to helping create thriving lives now and for years to come.
