Spotlight Week: Into Recruitment

February 2026

At SCO, our people are at the centre of everything we do. Finding and attracting the right talent is critical to our success, and that’s where our Recruitment team comes in. Recruitment isn’t about ticking boxes. For us, growth means bringing in the right people at the right time – individuals who will strengthen our culture and contribute to long-term success.

Our team focus on identifying people who will genuinely add value to the organisation. Whilst experience has its place, finding the right attitude and energy often matter more. We look for individuals who are motivated, adaptable and ready to thrive in a fast-moving environment. Skills can be developed; mindset is what makes the difference.

Hiring the right person is only the beginning. The team remains connected with new starters beyond their first day, maintaining regular touchpoints throughout their journey to ensure a smooth transition into the business and reinforce the support network around them. The same level of care is applied when building our support and leadership teams; every hire contributes to strengthening the wider organisation.

One exciting pathway is our part-time internal recruiter positions, open to current sales agents. These roles give team members the opportunity to explore recruitment, develop new skills and help shape SCO’s future workforce – all while continuing in their existing role.

Chinye, has been part of the internal recruitment team for six months, stepping into the role to take on greater responsibility and explore a different side of the business. Having always found recruitment interesting, he saw it as an opportunity to broaden his experience at SCO and build towards a future career in the field. The role has strengthened his people skills, particularly when it comes to approaching conversations with curiosity. He also highlights the shift in perspective the role has given him; it has allowed him to focus more on identifying potential and considering long-term fit within the business. It’s an experience that has expanded both his confidence and his long-term ambitions.

At SCO, recruitment is about building teams, supporting people and creating genuine opportunities for growth, for new hires and existing colleagues alike.
