Every year on the 19th of November, International Men’s Day shines a light on the positive impact men and boys have in the world around them. This year’s theme, ‘Celebrating Men and Boys’, sits alongside International Children’s Day on 20 November, creating a 48-hour period that aims to highlight the bond between men and children and the positive impact that support and guidance can make.

At SCO, we continue to promote good health and open conversation around men’s mental wellbeing. This year we raised awareness for Movember, encouraging everyone to take part or donate in a way that suited them. We have also made a donation to Prostate Cancer UK, chosen by our employees, to support their vital research and the specialist help they provide for men and their families.

Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) app is always available and promoted to all employees who may need confidential advice or wellbeing support. We believe that easy access to help and support can make a real difference.

We value the men who make a positive impact across our teams and help create an environment where everyone can grow and feel supported. Their example encourages others to bring their best to work and to look out for one another.
